　　第一本紀念冊寫著這一句：小小苦楚等於激勵。Miss Cheuk 寫的。
　　前後用過四本紀念冊，小六一本，全滿；中五中七大三兩本交替，各有數頁空白；最後一本更只用了兩次。我懷疑，還有幾張在外頭流離失所。
　　也許人大了就不愛寫這些東西吧。算是灑脫，還是無奈？要嘛就繼續聯絡，要嘛就各散東西，寫了不見得更親密，不寫更沒有大不了。

　　跟照片一樣，紀念冊也是人生歷史的一部份。和照片不同，紀念冊多了一份感情，一份寫和讀兩人之間的感情。雖然我從不寫「友誼永固」、「流水不因石而阻，友情不因遠而疏」這類不切實際又見敷衍的名言，但我總不該排除寫的朋友有著這份希冀。

I really don't remember lu... Perhaps i did start off with a few 「友誼永固」 until i was mature enough to understand it means nothing! I haven't written any since Upper Sixth. Signing cards (for wedding, birthday, baptism etc.) are somewhat similar. I have to admit that i sometimes write 「生日快樂」, which is rather 敷衍 too... Haha, 講一套做一套. Ok, self-defence. 「生日快樂」 is a wish, and i don't have to do anything as long as i say it wholeheartedly. 「友誼永固」 is not simply a wish; it won't happen if you just sit there and do nothing. It is a pledge that requires efforts. Ironically, one can do all sorts of things to try to keep the pledge, but ultimately it is never under anyone's control... So, we are back to wishing 「友誼永固」, full stop.
